Well worthy of a share!
Something I truly love about running SCC is seeing the wonderful end-results of SCC 3D prints completed.
Seeing anything brings much personal fulfilment as often a lot of models posted out are not shared, and of course there's no obligation to.
However, once in a while you come across unique gems that really Impact deeply.
I always ask permission to share pictures that I have not personally photographed in respect of copyright, so with examples granted to show I'm deeply greatfull.
Many such items end up on the SCC Gallery as indeed this example is.
Many E2's and Freelance Variants of them end up painted into the Wilbert Awdry Railway Series / RS / RWS character 'Thomas' which for personal reasons appeals, yet more grounded real examples I see less of.
The following example has for want of a better word 'wowed' me as it looks so well crafted.
The body shell is of course an SCC Extended Tank E2, 3D printed here. It's been completed and painted into a real life livery, yet the standard of finish is wonderful; it brings much 'Happification."
That's a term I coined many years ago!
To my current knowledge a customer sent the 3D printed bodyshell to James Hilton who has completely nocked it out of the park.
The end example is wonderful and shows the potential of a blank canvas 'boring' plain coloured 3D print when expertly completed and painted.
His blog can be found here:
And his E2 post here:
... the item itself in various scales can be found here:
....and yes, of course, this entry is partly an advert, not going to pretend it isn't but just look at it. Beautifuly realised.
It's things like this that help show the potential of such things and brings on those good vibes!
Deeply greatful. 😍
