These are scale models of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) E2 Locomotive 3D printed in MSLA resin, If painted blue many like to make a realistic representation of 'Thomas.'
The photographs and £48.89 price are the 4mm (00/EM/P4) versions unless stated otherwise in the variation texts, some of these images have been printed at Shapeways and some here.

These purchases include the locomotive bodies and their details such as smokebox door, buffers, etc. Product photographs show them mostly in completed states, either built here or by customers to give an idea of their potential, some pictures may show a render of the main body instead. It isn't yet possible to assign a picture to each variant as there is a limit on the editing tools, for this reason it may default to the version on the entry page yet the 4mm versions will all have a picture that can be used as visual reference regardless of the chosen scale.
The main motivation for the creation of the SCC E2's initially was to correct the errors and compromises made by previous manufacturers; as a result these freshly designed E2's are not shortened, the running plate curves are not over the top and they have the correct wheelbase if used with an SCC chassis.
There are Freelance Variants available also as can be seen by the pictures and alternative names. Some of the product variations don't have pictures yet so there will either be a blank or a picture of the 3D render.
Spectacle plates have been added to some as an optional extra. If you don't want them simply cut them off and file smooth - easy.
Please note - the prototype photographs sometimes showed the Smoke-Box to have rivets and other times none at all. For this reason this model has been designed as the smooth type to print better and provide a better canvas. Rivets can be added by buying transfer decals that have physical relief.
For the 4mm versions You will need hand rail pillars or split pins and 0.45mm rod for the hand rails. To make the accurate positioning and fitting easier, holes have been slightly indented on the body; they just need drilling out. The models come with details such as the boiler pipe, buffers, cab roof, optional doors that slide in from the top and a removable smokebox door.
Couplings are left for the user to decide based upon preference.
On the 4mm versions, to fit the chassis to the body, the rear simply slots in the body at an angle. The front is fixed via a screw or bolt (10BA ideal) that with care taps easily and is all that is needed, a nut can be glued in place inside the Smoke-Box Saddle if desired. This body shell can be fixed to several Ready To Run (RTR) chassis with a little tweaking, The Bachmann 1F & Jinty have been used to great effect several times by customers, the older Hornby 0-6-0 chassis has been fitted a fair few times also.
