Features
3D printed in high-detail photopolymer resin
Designed for straightforward cleaning, priming, and finishing using standard model paints
Compatible with 3' 6" – 3' 11" wheels (Alan Gibson Workshop recommended)
Chassis required to complete the model as originally designed; 4mm stop-gap resin chassis available for £12 each (contact via email)
 
Detailed Features / Extra Information
Original photographed example uses 3' 6" wheels (scales at 14mm); Since model was updated to fit larger wheels.  Alan Gibson Workshop wheels are available at 3' 8" (14.6mm), 3' 10", and 3' 11" (15.6mm)
Resin stop-gap chassis are functional but slightly brittle; care required when threading wheels onto axles
Small 2mm spacing washers recommended to control lateral “give” of wheelsets
Minor filing may be necessary for chassis fit due to MSLA printing tolerances
Original Shapeways WSF/WNVP prints appear slightly grainy; SCC MSLA resin prints are smoother by default
“Tear drop” shaped cut-outs in the frames are for the Cambrian Class 61, for the Furness Class 21 / K2 fill the gaps in and fill/file smooth
