Fowler / Deeley Style Tender Body Kits
 
Highly detailed scale model tender body kits inspired by Fowler and Deeley-style tender designs. The kit includes a choice of bulkhead designs, positional vents, buffers, and additional detail components for customisation.
 
The Deeley-style variant is a freelance interpretation rather than a strictly prototypical Deeley tender. The main modification is the removal of the horizontal strip running along the tender length, giving it a cleaner freelance appearance often used for freelance style modelling.

3D printed in high-detail photopolymer resin
Designed for straightforward cleaning, priming, and finishing using standard model paints
Couplings: User’s choice; not supplied
Includes multiple bulkhead design options within the kit
Positional vents and buffers allow custom placement
Compatible with 17mm wheels and axles (Alan Gibson Workshop recommended)
Chassis required to complete the model as originally designed; 4mm stop-gap resin chassis available for £12 each (contact via email)
 
Detailed Features / Extra Information
Resin stop-gap chassis are functional but slightly brittle; care required when threading wheels onto axles
Small 2mm spacing washers recommended to control lateral “give” of wheelsets
Minor filing may be required for chassis fit due to MSLA printing tolerances
Original photographs of the weathered British Rail example were printed in Shapeways WSF/WNVP material, which has a slightly grainy texture
SCC photo polymer resin prints are smoother by default
